Michael Carley
Mental Health and Wellbeing Advisor
As the LPC dedicated Mental Health and Wellbeing Advisor I am here to support any student who might need additional support. Like the rest of the LPC team my door is always open.
I am a qualified Humanistic Integrative Counsellor MBACP with extensive ranging experience in mental health, social work and criminal justice. I graduated hold BACP-accreditation.
I offer support that is informed by best practice understanding of current neuroscience research allied to the established, and validated, psychology-based approaches of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy [CBT]. I believe that Mindfulness and Compassion based counselling provide highly effective therapeutic approaches to self-regulation and self-change.
