Student support at LPC

You will have access to all the support and guidance you need at the UoP London Pathway College. The dedicated Student Support team is here to help your studies with us.

Congratulations when you have successfully passed and completed your LPC pathway we will help you make the transition to UoPL!

 

We're here to help and support you

During your time with LPC, we will ensure you are never to face things alone. If you are struggling, from assignments to adjusting to life in a different country, our experienced Student Services team are on hand to give you any guidance and advice you may need.   

Social activities

We will make sure that studying at LPC is fun. You can join in on social activities from London City Tours, sight seeing day trips to other parts of the UK, tours of London football stadium tours and sports tournaments. LPC organises a number of trips and events throughout the semester so you can make new friends and immerse yourself in life in the UK.

Extra support

Support for under-18s 

Studying in the UK is a big step, especially as an international student under the age of 18. We can provide you with some specialised support for your safety and wellbeing.

We will support you to arrange a legal guardian. They will act as a 24/7 emergency contact, and will keep in touch with you throughout your studies. 

What we will help you with if you are Under 18

  • A dedicated guardian while you are in the UK 
  • Face-to-face meetings with your guardian 
  • A telephone number for your guardian, who will be available 24/7 during term time 
  • Regular email and telephone contact with you, your parents and college 

Wellbeing

If you need a helping hand while you're in Walthamstow studying with LPC, we've got you covered.

Use our guidance and support services to brush up your study skills, handle your finances, or manage your health and wellbeing.

You can come in for an appointment with LPC staff, or you can request a video or phone meeting if you prefer.

Weekday appointments

If you don't know where to start or want to know more about your support options, book one of our 20 minute weekday appointments. These are great for finding out more about:

  • Possible solutions to your challenges
  • Local services to support your wellbeing
  • How the Wellbeing Service can help you

Full support from the LPC Wellbeing Service

Contact us to request more detailed one-to-one help, on [email protected]. A Mental Health practitioner will contact you to assess your needs.

 

Register with a doctor 

It is important you register with a Dr to ensure you have health care support. 

 

Additional Support and Disability service

We support students and applicants who share a disability or require additional support for their academic studies.

We provide a confidential service for all students with additional learning needs, and can give you advice on academic support.

We can also discuss what reasonable adjustments you may require and refer you to appropriate agencies for support.

Contact us, in confidence, if you have a condition that might impact on your ability to access the campus, curriculum, teaching, learning, assessments and any other LPC service. It’s best to contact us as soon as possible after you accept an offer - our staff can guide you through the whole process.
